Globally, water scarcity affects about 40% of the population. Each day, more than 800 children under the age of 5 die from disease attributed to poor water and sanitation. In the United States, more than 2 million people are without access to clean water. Water scarcity threatens individuals across categories of race, gender, income, and nationality, but disproportionately affects marginalized communities.

With equity as a cornerstone of its mission, Blue Access works directly with underserved and rural communities to identify and understand local water issues and invest in locally-driven solutions. Through community engagement, we generate new sustainable finance tools for investment strategies to address the water scarcity issue. Our grassroots approach ensures that investments are considered after collaboration with a range of stakeholders, informed by diverse perspectives, and focused on innovative approaches and technology, to ensure water access for all people in every community.
